CareMate is a personal pet-care organizer for storing pet profiles, reminders, records, documents, expenses, widgets, and related information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, how it is used, and where it is stored.
1. Information You Enter
The app may store information you choose to add, including:
- Pet profile details, such as pet name, species, breed or type, age, health-related details, vet details, notes, and pet photo.
- Owner/contact details, such as your name, email, phone number, city, and country or region.
- Pet-care records, such as reminders, routines, expenses, health records, medication, vaccines, vet visits, supplies, documents, and activity history.
- Photos, files, receipts, screenshots, health documents, and other attachments you add to the app.
Some of this information stays only on your device. Some limited analytics information, such as app usage and user-entered city/country or region, may be sent to Firebase Analytics as described below.
2. Local Storage
The app stores your main data locally on your device.
Some data is also stored in a shared app-group container so the main app and its widget extension can work together. This shared container is used only between the app and its widget extension.
The app does not provide iCloud sync, cloud backup, or account-based cloud storage.
3. Analytics
The app may use Google Analytics/Firebase Analytics to understand how it is used and to improve the user experience.
Analytics may include app opens, feature usage, screen interactions, device and app information, general usage patterns, and approximate location information.
The app may also use the city, country, or region you enter to understand where users need local pet-related features, such as pet shops, grooming services, veterinary clinics, and other local pet services.
The app does not use analytics to provide veterinary, medical, emergency, diagnostic, or treatment advice.
4. Widgets
The app's widgets may access limited pet and task snapshot data through the shared app-group container.
This widget data is shared only between the app and its widget extension.
5. Notifications
The app may request notification permission so it can schedule local reminder notifications for pet-care tasks.
Notification content may appear on your lock screen or notification center depending on your device settings.
6. Camera, Photos, and Files
The app may request access to your camera, photo picker, or files when you use features such as pet photos, document uploads, receipt attachments, or bug-report screenshots.
The app only uses this access for the features you choose to use.
7. Support and Bug Reports
If you contact support or report a bug, the app may prepare an email that includes the message you write, user-entered details, optional screenshots, and diagnostics such as app version, build number, device model, OS version, and timestamp.
Support emails are sent to:
8. Export and Deletion
The app may allow you to export one pet or all locally stored app data.
You may also delete one pet and its local assets, or delete all app data from the device.
Because this version does not include cloud backup, deleted local data may not be recoverable unless you previously exported or preserved it yourself.
9. Automatic Document Cleanup
The app may include an optional local auto-cleanup setting for old stored documents.
If enabled, older local document files may be removed automatically based on the retention period you select.
10. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
